1. Why won't the ink stay on the practice skin?
Answer:
Insufficient machine power or a spread-out needle tip can affect ink retention.
Incorrect needle penetration angle-aim for a 45-degree angle when inserting the needle.
Needle extension is too short: extend the needle about 2mm for lining, and 1.5mm for shading.
The practice skin is made of silicone, which is less porous and moisturized than human skin, so a slower hand speed is required for better ink uptake.
2. Why do stencil marks on the practice skin smudge or wipe off easily?
Reason:
The practice skin is machine-pressed, leaving a thin layer of machine oil and rubber powder on its surface, making it smooth and prone to smudging.
Solution:
Clean the practice skin thoroughly with a blue algae-based cleaner first, then dry it completely before applying the stencil. After transferring the stencil, use a hair dryer to dry it for 30 minutes, or apply the stencil the night before and tattoo the next day.
3. Why do stencil marks on the practice skin bleed or spread?
Answer:
The stencil cream or gel applied is too thick-only a thin, even layer is needed for transferring.
Apply the stencil in one smooth, firm press; avoid lifting and re-pressing the stencil multiple times.
